Anglia Asbestos Disease Support Group

Anglia Asbestos Disease Support Group (AADSG) was established in 2016 for individuals in East Anglia suffering the effects of exposure to asbestos, including conditions such as mesothelioma, asbestos-related lung cancer, asbestosis, diffuse pleural thickening, and pleural plaques.

Anglia Asbestos Disease Support Group, alongside our sponsors Ashtons Legal, is on a mission to improve the lives of patients with asbestos-related diseases in our region.

Our group meets once a month (apart from in August) on the outskirts of Norwich in Norfolk. Our meetings are free to attend and open to all patients. We also welcome carers, family members and friends who may need offer support following a diagnosis.

One of our goals is to help raise funds for a dedicated Mesothelioma UK Clinical Nurse Specialist post in Norfolk or Suffolk. These specialist nurses, trained by Mesothelioma UK, a leading asbestos-related cancer charity, provide invaluable support to patients.

We like going to the support group and find there are other people to talk to who understand our situation. We enjoy the company and the activities we do some months. People also share what treatments are available and how to get them.
